B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering was the primary department established in Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering and Technology during the academic year 1999-2000. The department train up students to impart basic knowledge in various subjects of Electronics and Communication Engineering and also update them to the recent advancements through various training programmes, seminars, workshops etc.,
Post graduate course namely M.Tech wireless communication was initiated in the academic year 2014-2015.The department is sanctioned to admit every year 120 candidates for B.Tech programme and 18 students to M.Tech. wireless communication.
