About the Programme

The Department of Biomedical Engineering was started in the year 2004 offering a B.Tech degree in Biomedical Engineering. The biomedical engineering is a field that integrates Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology to find solution for medical related problems. The demand of engineers with background in biology and medicine is growing rapidly. The biomedical engineers play key role in designing and developing new medical instruments, deploying the emerging information infrastructure, creating new biomaterials and medical desires.
